Capturing a very rare moment with Britain’s rarest Owl - the Long-eared Owl. Filmed on a single night. The joy of filming (over photography sometimes) is I can use my 200-600, with a 1.4extender and shoot in the 35mm crop mode on my Sony A7IV, enabling me to get closer to the action without physically getting close and without too much quality loss.

This intimate moment between adult and chick is one I could only dream of capturing and I’m so happy with the result. What’s funny is because I was overwhelmed with the location and how busy it was that evening (sadly), I left not really knowing how good what I shot actually was. Enjoy this short moment of beautiful nature.
