Young People's Recovery and Nature's Recovery
As part of our on-going partnership with the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside, we produced this film to highlight the benefits of the great outdoors on young people's mental health. Working closely with the trust and Myplace we interviewed a group of young people on location at Brockholes nature reserve to hear their stories and how nature has helped with their recovery. We also got lucky with an incredible starling murmuration at the end of the day when the sun went down. Some of the comments that the young people made, gave us goosebumps.
I’m extremely proud to showcase this film, wrapping up two aspects of life that we personally feel are incredibly important; nature and mental health. "I think nature helps with mental health, as we humans are connected to it. A lack of contact with nature damages us, so it's like a piece of a puzzle that you've lost" Support The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside here: https://www.lancswt.org.uk/become-member-0
